Maryam Nawaz to become first female CM of Punjab

Pakistan Prime: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has nominated its chief organiser Maryam Nawaz; daughter of former premier Nawaz Sharif, as Chief Minister of Punjab – Pakistan’s most populated province.

 

“The chief of PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has nominated Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the position of Chief Minister of Punjab.” Announced Marriyum Aurangzeb; the information secretary of PML-N, on X (formerly known as Twitter).

 

 

Maryam Nawaz would be the first female to become the chief minister of Punjab, if PML-N successfully forms a government in the province.
