In a recent announcement, the government of Pakistan declared a holiday for Eidul Fitr, lasting three days for offices adhering to a five-day work week and four days for those with a six-day work week.

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the holiday period will span from Wednesday, April 10, to Friday, April 12, for organizations operating on a five-day work schedule. Conversely, for entities following a six-day work schedule, the holiday period will extend from Wednesday, April 10, to Saturday, April 13.

Eidul Fitr holds great significance in the Islamic lunar calendar, marking the conclusion of the sacred month of Ramazan, during which Muslims worldwide observe fasting. The festivities of Eid symbolize the end of this period of spiritual discipline.

This year, the celebration of Eidul Fitr is anticipated to commence either on April 10 or April 11, contingent upon the sighting of the moon.
