We were involved in rigging, Commissioner Rawalpindi Confesses
Pakistan Prime: The Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division, Liaqat Ali Chatta, confesses that he was involved in rigging in the 2024 general elections during a press conference in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium today.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected the allegations, saying that the commissioner of a division has to do nothing with the election process.
“The interim government appointed me as commissioner in order to contain free and fair elections. However, I could not perform my duty, so I resign from my position.” Liaquat Ali Chatta, Commissioner Rawalpindi, announced his resignation.
He confessed, in front of the media, that the administration turned the election results of 13 seats in the National Assembly in Rawalpindi, and the defeated candidates were declared winners.
“We changed the victory of multiple candidates into defeat, despite their lead of 70,000 votes. Our people are still putting fake stamps, right now.” He confessed.
Commissioner Rawalpindi apologised to the returning officers, mentioning that when they were asked to do the wrongdoing, “they were crying,” and they did not want to do that.
“I shall be sentenced to death in Rawalpindi’s Kutchery Chowk. The Chief Election Commission and Chief Justice of Pakistan shall be sentenced to death in the same Chowk.” Chatta demanded, saying that they have done the wrong thing with the country.
“I do not want to see 1971’s image again. What I did was not suitable for me; this is why I have resigned from everything.”
Chatta said that he is making his arrest to the police for his crimes.
“It is not hidden who compelled us to do so.” He responded to a question about who made him do the rigging by a journalist. However, he did not mention anyone.
“I was so under pressure from social media and overseas Pakistanis that I tried to commit suicide today after Fajr. Then, I thought, Why not bring this in front of the public?” He added.
He requested the bureaucracy not do anything wrong for those political characters ‘who have their Shirwani (suits) ready to be ministers’, and we cannot tolerate it.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), issued a press release after the press conference of the Commissioner of Rawalpindi, stating that any responsible officer of the ECP did not direct anyone to change the election results.

“The commissioner of any division is not the RO, DRO, or Presiding Officer. Neither does he have to do anything with the election process.” The press release states.
However, the ECP has announced to start an inquiry into the matter.
