Government announced decrease in the petroleum prices
The prices of petroleum products in Pakistan have recently witnessed a reduction. The announcement came from Senator Ishaq Dar, the Federal Finance Minister of Pakistan, who shared that petrol prices have been lowered by Rs. 9 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel prices have been decreased by Rs. 7 per litre.
In a video message broadcasted on PTV, Pakistan’s national TV channel, Finance Minister Dar informed the public about the updated prices. The previous price of petrol, set at Rs. 262 per litre, has now been adjusted to Rs. 253 per litre for the next 15 days.
“The current price of petrol is 262 per litre, which has been decreased by rupees 9. The new price would be 253 per litre, which will be applied for next 15 days.” Said Senator Dar.
Furthermore, the revised prices for High-Speed Diesel will be applicable from tonight, 16th July, until 31st July 2023, with a reduction of Rs. 7 per litre.
Finance Minister Dar also took to Twitter to share the new prices.
This adjustment in prices may have an impact on the cost of transportation and daily expenses for the general public.
