Arshad Sharif’s daughter enters in journalism

The realm of journalism has welcomed a new face as Aleeza Arshad, the daughter of the late Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif, embarks on her career as a reporter. Inspired by her father’s unwavering dedication to investigative journalism, she has joined a private news channel, where her father once hosted a prominent current affairs show.

Aleeza’s decision to follow in her father’s footsteps has received accolades from her father’s friends and colleagues. Tragically, Arshad Sharif lost his life in a distressing incident on the outskirts of Nairobi in late October 2022 when his vehicle was fired upon by Kenyan police. The Nairobi police later expressed remorse, citing the episode as a regrettable case of “mistaken identity”.
